Metoden udnytter, at kr\u00e6ftceller afgiver tumorspecifikt DNA og protein, der kan spores i en blodpr\u00f8ve. I deres studie omfattende omkring 1000 personer med forskellige typer kr\u00e6ft kunne det spores i blodet i 70% af tilf\u00e6ldene. N\u00e6ste skridt er at teste metoden p\u00e5 personer uden en diagnose.
