Sinclair snakke om dette tiltag var han en smule kryptisk, men han n\u00e6vnte, at m\u00e5let var, at man uden de store udgifter skulle kunne f\u00e5 klarhed over sin biologiske alder, og kunne f\u00f8lge om eventuelle livstils\u00e6ndringer bedrer den.<\/p>\n<p>Baggrunden er at ens <em>biologiske alder<\/em> (defineret ved den generelle sundhedstilstand kroppen er i)\u00a0ikke n\u00f8dvendigvis f\u00f8lger ens <em>kronologiske alder<\/em> (der svarer til hvor l\u00e6nge man har levet). Eksempelvis vil den biologiske alder for en person kunne v\u00e6re v\u00e6sentligt h\u00f8jere end den kronologiske alder, hvis man er storryger og regelm\u00e6ssigt drikker store m\u00e6ngder alkohol. Modsat kan man ofte opfattes som havende en v\u00e6sentligt lavere biologisk alder i forhold til den faktiske kronologiske alder, hvis man motionerer regelm\u00e6ssigt og spiser sundt.<\/p>\n<p>Inden det stod klart, hvad Tally Health egentlig havde p\u00e5 hjerte bragte teamet j\u00e6vnligt nogle teasere p\u00e5 banen omkring det, at man selv kan g\u00f8re meget for at forbedre sin biologiske alder &#8211; dog uden at levere nogle af de g\u00e6ngse r\u00e5d om sunde vaner. Det lugtede lidt af at det erkl\u00e6rede form\u00e5l om <em>at bringe sundhed og vitalitet til alle<\/em>, var sekund\u00e6rt i forhold til et produktlaunch.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Our genes determine less than 10% of how we age.&#8221; Statement fra tallyhealth.com (citeret fra Ruby el al 2018).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Og ja, nu er det blevet rimeligt klart hvad det handler om&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>If\u00f8lge Tally Health kan man nu <em>tracke<\/em> sin biologiske alder ved at skrabe nogle celler af mundhulen og sende en pr\u00f8ve ind til DNA test. Aldersbestemmelsen g\u00f8res ved at analysere methylering af bestemte omr\u00e5der af DNA&#8217;et, hvorefter en algoritme beregner ens biologiske alder, her kaldet TallyAge.<\/p>\n<p>Tally Health tilbyder et abonnement, hvor man hver 3. m\u00e5ned f\u00e5r m\u00e5lt sin TallyAge, en individualiseret action plan med r\u00e5d om hvordan man s\u00e6nker sin alder, og hver m\u00e5ned f\u00e5r tilsendt deres kosttilskud kaldet Vitality. Til en pris p\u00e5 $129-$199 pr. m\u00e5ned. Hvis man skulle have lyst til at tage en enkelt test uden bindinger koster det $229.<\/p>\n<p>Og deres kosttilskud Vitality? Det indeholder Resveratrol, Quercetin, Fisetin, Spermidin og Calcium alpha-ketoglutarat. Det lyder m\u00e5ske ganske eksotisk, men husk p\u00e5 at ingen af disse stoffer endnu er p\u00e5vist at kunne forl\u00e6nge levetiden hos mennesker. Man kan ogs\u00e5 notere sig, at Vitality mangler et par ingredienser, som David Sinclair har erkl\u00e6ret, at han selv indtager dagligt.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>At f\u00e5 m\u00e5lt sin TallyAge virker ganske fancy og videnskabelig, men dermed ikke sagt, at det er meget mere pr\u00e6cist og korrekt end at f\u00e5 lavet en body-age test i det lokale fitnesscenter, besvare et sp\u00f8rgeskema p\u00e5 nettet eller tjekke sit Garmin ur.<\/p>\n<p>Har man brug for et tal som et udtryk for, hvor godt man plejer sin sundhed, og det kan motivere \u00e9n til at forbedre sin indsats, s\u00e5 kan jeg godt se id\u00e9en ved at man kunne t\u00e6nke sig at abonnere p\u00e5 Tally Health (i \u00f8jeblikket tager de dog kun imod ordrer hvis man bor i USA).<\/p>\n<p>For mig at se kan man dog f\u00e5 ret meget sundhed for 900 kroner om m\u00e5neden, fx et medlemsskab af et fitnesscenter og masser af friske sunde madvarer&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>For noget tid siden skrev jeg et indl\u00e6g om Tally Health, der er stiftet af aldringsforsker David Sinclair.
