Det er dog en fortalelse at kalde ham pensionist p\u00e5 trods af, at han nu er 97 \u00e5r.<\/p>\n<p>Efter at v\u00e6re distraheret af at opbygge og udvikle sin tandl\u00e6gepraksis\u00a0inds\u00e5 Dr. Eugster, at han var alt for stillesiddende. Han genfandt\u00a0sit atletiske konkurrence-gen som 63-\u00e5rig, og begyndte at konkurrere i roning &#8211; og har sidenhen vundet et v\u00e6ld af masters konkurrencer.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>What people do not realise is that if you do endurance training such as walking or cycling \u2013 which is often recommended for older people \u2013 that does not combat sarcopenia, which is a loss of muscle mass, loss of power, loss of strength. So as my rowing was just an endurance sport, despite the fact that I was training six days a week, my body deteriorated. Det budskab han leverede p\u00e5 mindre end et kvarter er i sandhed inspirerende &#8211; men jeg var endnu mere imponeret over den m\u00e5de han form\u00e5ede at levere budskabet, i en alder af 93 \u00e5r.
