Nogle kvinder d\u00f8jer med\u00a0hedeture, s\u00f8vnl\u00f8shed, bl\u00f8dningsforstyrrelser og\u00a0udt\u00f8rrede slimhinder i underlivet, inkontinens, bl\u00e6rebet\u00e6ndelse og andre gener.\u00a0For de h\u00e5rdest plagede kvinder kan det g\u00e5 ud over livskvaliteten i flere \u00e5r i tr\u00e6k.<\/p>\n<p>Da den bagvedliggende \u00e5rsag er en drastisk nedgang i hormonproduktionen er det n\u00e6rliggende at forestille sig, at en effektiv lindring kunne v\u00e6re at supplere med et medicinsk pr\u00e6parat indeholdende \u00f8strogen og progesteron. Det vil ogs\u00e5 v\u00e6re tilf\u00e6ldet. Det er dog \u00f8strogen, som giver de \u00f8nskede virkninger; tilskuddet af progesteron (i form\u00a0af gestagen)\u00a0anbefales for at beskytte mod udvikling af livmoderkr\u00e6ft. Til geng\u00e6ld \u00f8ger kombinationsbehandlingen risikoen for at udvikle brystkr\u00e6ft.<\/p>\n<h4>Fordele ved hormonbehandling:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Reducerer hedeture<\/li>\n<li>Reducerer bl\u00f8dning og vandladningsproblemer ved at stabilisere slimhinderne<\/li>\n<li>Decelererer reduktionen i knoglemasse<\/li>\n<li>Reducerer risikoen for at udvikle coloncancer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Indtagelsen af hormonpr\u00e6parater med \u00f8strogen kan ogs\u00e5 give nogle bivirkninger. Nogle er midlertidige, som g\u00e5r over n\u00e5r kroppen har fundet sig til rette med medicinen.<\/p>\n<h4>Ulemper ved hormonbehandling:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Bl\u00f8dningsforstyrrelser<\/li>\n<li>Hovedpine<\/li>\n<li>V\u00e6gtfor\u00f8gelse<\/li>\n<li>\u00d8ger risikoen for at f\u00e5 blodpropper<\/li>\n<li>\u00d8ger risikoen for at udvikle visse kr\u00e6ftformer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Hormonbehandling har ingen p\u00e5viselig beskyttelse mod udvikling af hjerte-karsygdom. Der er derimod en stigning i risikoen for at udvikle blodpropper, men det afh\u00e6nger muligvis af tidspunktet for hvorn\u00e5r hormonbehandlingen p\u00e5begyndes.<\/p>\n<p>Det anbefales, at kvinder underg\u00e5r hormonbehandling i h\u00f8jest 4-5 \u00e5r, da der er en bekymring omkring, at langvarig behandling kan for\u00f8ge risikoen for at udvikle forskellige kr\u00e6ftformer &#8211; blandt andet i bryst, livmoder og \u00e6ggestok.<\/p>\n<p>Uden hormonbehandling\u00a0vil livstidsrisikoen for at udvikle brystkr\u00e6ft ligge p\u00e5 omkring 100 tilf\u00e6lde pr. 1000 kvinder. If\u00f8lge tal fra Kr\u00e6ftens Bek\u00e6mpelse vil kvinder, der tager kombinationsbehandling i 10 \u00e5r statistisk set have en\u00a0risiko for brystkr\u00e6ft,\u00a0som er \u00f8get med\u00a019 tilf\u00e6lde pr. 1000 kvinder.\u00a0Ved\u00a0behandling\u00a0med \u00f8strogen alene vil tallet ligge p\u00e5 5 yderligere tilf\u00e6lde pr. 1000 kvinder i forhold til kvinder,\u00a0der ikke f\u00e5r behandling (her ses som n\u00e6vnt til geng\u00e6ld en stigning i antallet af tilf\u00e6lde af livmoderkr\u00e6ft).\u00a0Ved 5 \u00e5rs behandling er risikoen lavere ved begge typer behandling. S\u00e5 i absolutte tal er der ikke tale om en stor stigning i antallet af brystkr\u00e6fttilf\u00e6lde ved hormonbehandling.
